Chinese Brush Paintings, By Devon Artist, Lisa Class

West Country Galleries are delighted to announce our resident artist Lisa Class will be exhibiting her wonderful Chinese Brush Paintings at the Birdwood House, Totnes, Devon Exhibition.

Lisa told us that she is pleased to be sharing the exhibition once again with Jude Freeman – Contemporary Mosiac Artist.

Lisa says “The passion I feel about this style of painting comes from a very spiritual place within me and it's something I feel very fortunate to have found”

Wild Orchids by Lisa Class

The orchid signifies elegance and style.

Lotus and Butterfly by Lisa Class

The lotus flower starts as a small flower down at the bottom of a pond in the mud and muck.  It slowly grows up towards the water surface continually moving to the light.  Once it comes to the surface of the water the lotus flower starts to blossom and turn into a beautiful flower.  The lotus flower is a symbol for people who have been through a hard time and are now coming out of it.

Lisa recently exhibited her word at the Exeter Art and Craft Festival which ran from Friday 1st July to Saturday 2nd July 2011.  It was a very busy time for Lisa who received very positive reviews on her paintings/prints and greeting cards.
