`Out Of The Blue` Exhibition 16th to 24th July 2011 - Great Success!!

Town Mill Malthouse - Lyme Regis

Our resident artists Rita Sugden ne Richardson and Lyn Marie Whiteman enjoyed great success at their recent `Out Of The Blue` Exhibition which was staged at the Malthouse, Lyme Regis.


Paintings included land and seascapes, animal studies and works in collage. Other work mediums included oils, watercolours, pastels, acrylics and mixed media.

The artists told us that they had received over 2,000 visitors, which was wonderful!  They received tremendous feed-back which was the springboard for excellent sales! Rita told us "I ended up having sold six paintings, five miniatures, one print and more than 40 cards". Rita has also received two commissions for future paintings too!


Rita will be staging more exhibitions throughout the year starting at:

Then you will find Rita at the Seaton and District Art Society's Annual Art Exhibition at Seaton Town Hall which will run from 5th-11th August.

Seaton Town Hall is a beautiful buildling situated in the heart of Seaton. Directly opposite there is well attended gardens and there is only a short 2 minute stroll down to the seafront.

Lyn sold three originals, which included a landscape in oils, and a pair of abstract inks in mixed media, and two Giclee prints - one of the Waterscape II, and one of a Woodland scene, a silk scarf, and 30 cards.

East Devon Art Academy, Sidmouth

Additionally, Lyn will be showing her work at the East Devon Art Academy in Sidmouth from 30th July to 5th August in a group show called 'ART in Sidmouth', with 10 artists exhibiting.

Lyn will be running her Annual Summer School next week starting on Monday 1st August 2011, with Acrylics, Tuesday Pastels, Thursday Oil Painting, and Friday Watercolours or any medium at my Rousdon Studio, near Lyme Regis, 10 - 4:30pm.
