WEST COUNTRY GALLERIES VISITS ART@EYPE3 EXHIBITION

West Country Galleries paid a visit to the Art@Eype3 Exhibition held at the Eype Centre for the Arts, St Peter's Church, Eype. The exhibition ran from Saturday 16th July to Sunday 17th July.

Two of our resident artists Sally Davies and Marion Taylor were exhibiting their latest creations. Eight other renowned artists exhibited their work at the event. David Brooke (Artist/Painter) with an imaginative acrylic style to his paintings that invoke the feeling of myth.  Caroline Ireland (Artist/Painter) radiating exuberant colour to draw out a smile. Kate Osman (Glass Artist) works with recycled glass from city and sea which is reclaimed and transformed into something beautiful. Charlotte Miller (Artist/Painter) inspired by the Dorset landscape and coastline. Semi abstract oils on canvas and smaller work on paper. Gemma Hibbs (Printmaker) printmaking, lino and woodcuts: limited signed editions together with paintings and illustrations. Sally Derrick (Sculptor) Sculptures of birds, animals, portraits and figures. Barbara Simons (Photography) expressive, creative, abstract and rule-breaking photography of animals and the natural world. Finally, Andy White (Photography) which records the landscapes of Dorset in all sorts of weather.

The exhibition offered an opportunity to see some of West Dorset's finest artists and makers exhibiting in the unique setting of Eype Church Centre for the Arts. St Peter's at Eype, is a well known and much loved venue for artistic events.
