Art Basel 2011 - Check this out!

Art 42 Basel 2011
As the world's largest contemporary art fair, the exhibition includes paintings, sculptures, drawings, installations, photographs and videos. 


Located on the banks of the Rhine, at the border between Switzerland, France and Germany, Basel is easily navigated by foot and trams. The world's largest contemporary arts fair, which opened in Basel is set to receive some 60,000 art lovers to enjoy works by more than 2,500 artists. The 42st edition of Art Basel runs from June 15-19. 2011.


VenueArt Basel takes place in Halls 1 and 2 of Messe Basel, Messeplatz, 4005 Basel, Switzerland.
Hall 1: Built in 1999 by the Swiss architect and art collector Theo Hotz, this hall hosts Art Unlimited, Art Statements, Art Basel Conversations, Art Salon, Artists Books, Artists Records and
Off Press.
Hall 2: A landmark building from the 1950s, built by Hans Hoffmann, the building hosts Art Galleries, Art Feature,
Art Edition and Art Magazines.

Duration and daily hoursOpening for invited guests:
Tuesday, June 14, 2011, 11am until 9pm
General Public:
Wednesday, June 15, to Sunday, June 19, 2011.
Daily from 11am to 7pm
